Helping Hands

Helping Hands is a ministry designed to touch the lives of those that may need food, clothing, job placement and other areas that they may need help in.  This ministry allows ourselves, along with the community, to help those that really need assistance and build them up spiritually, emotionally, socially, and financially through our partnership with Faith Mission Ministries, so that they can provide a healthy and suitable life for their family.   We are looking for donations such as food, clothing, and financial blessing to continue our efforts in touching one life at a time.   

The Big Day of Serving

Imagine a thousand volunteers sweeping into a neighborhood in need and transforming it in a single day. Picture homes painted, yards landscaped, parks cleaned, schools refurbished, graffiti removed, and more. Consider the impact such an event could have on the long term quality of life for everyone living in that area.

Now imagine Emmanuel Church recognized as having helped launch this kind of transformation. We hope you’ll do more than imagine as you consider our request to become a partner of the Big Day of Serving event coming to Nashville, Tennessee on May 12th, 2012.. We have assembled a dedicated team of local leaders and partnered with a national organization that has brought hundreds of thousands of volunteers to communities all across the U.S. over the past 30+ years.

Plans are well underway to bring transformational change to an entire neighborhood as we tackle over 100 projects in a single day. It’s no surprise that an undertaking of this sort requires a great deal of support. We are asking to unite your church body by coming together to put together a care package for the big Day of Serving.

This care package includes:

1. 100 Bag Lunches
2. Sandwich
3. Bag of Chips
4. Cookies
5. Fruit
6. 200 Bottles of Water
7. 1 Lawn Mower (2, if possible)
8. 1 Weed Eater (2, if possible)

By committing to a Care Package, we ask that you would have the materials at the location (1419 Clinton Street Nashville, TN 37203) 2 days before the event, May 10th, 2012. We appreciate your interest in participating in an event that will make a lasting impact in our city.
